In March 2022, Rapper Nines was released from prison after six months after trying to import over two hundred thousand pounds of cannabis from Poland and Spain into the UK. As he took to social media showing himself in a car as a free man. Since then the star posted on Instagram mid December 2022 to let everybody know the album was done and ready, leaving us in suspense until last week when he showed a video of a 'Crop Circle' logo in flames on what could only be a field. The comments went crazy with blue ticks everywhere, for example, Kenny Allstar, Fredo, Ivorian Doll, BackroadGee, Scrapz, Tion Wayne and Chip. Comments left fans buzzing off of the news, with comments like, "King of da scene returnzzz", "NINES IS BACK. NATIONAL HOLIDAY??", and "it's peak now" alongside a bunch of fire emojis.

The forth coming album 'Crop Circle 2' follows on from previous album 'Crop Circle' back in 2018. The single 'Tony Soprano 2' was released last Thursday on the cannabis day 4/20, fitting the rapper perfectly, as he raps about staying loyal to his hood and the drug lines in lines "Came a long way from trappin' in the rain, my chicks a side bitch 'cause I'm married to the game, uh", and "Still the same old me even though I'm rich, and it's still gang gang, I'll never switch". As we know this refers to a main character from The Sopranos, of whom is described online as an "old fashioned guy at heart" who is very much "interested in respect". On the other hand, the character is also described as a "monstrous villain" with anger issues and gambling addictions and abusive traits, this is interesting as Nines can clearly see himself in the character to make not only one track titled after him, but two.

Over on Twitter this morning, fans let everyone know what the thought of the album, for example, social media rising star Billy The Goat had tweeted "Nines really went 8/8 in the space of 10 years, his catalogue is a jokeeeee", "yeah icl this nines album is different", and "Nines might had made album of the year wtf, every single song is a banger".

Nines is very well known for his cannabis culture status as that's what most of his tracks are based around. His previous album "Crabs in a Bucket" was released in 2020 and it's safe to say that it's our favourite piece of work from the London star, even after listening to the latest album.

What do you think?
