We've said it once and we'll say it again, you will struggle to escape this viral brand even if you tried. From humble beginnings in Shepherd's Bush, Clint has taken the fashion world by storm. Having teased a collaboration with Nike as they projected the brands logo onto Nike's London store on Oxford Street in January, the brand took to Instagram, uploading a time-lapse of the projection taking place with the caption "CORTIEZ x NIKE" followed by "RULESTHEWORLD." giving the fans absolutely nothing, leaving them to make up different designs in their own time as to what the brand could potentially have created with Nike, coming up with concepts for different trainer designs as well as clothing and accessories.
The streetwear brand then took to Instagram with another video of two people trainer shipping with the pair of shoes releasing from the collaboration, sat on a shelf alongside the other Nike trainers, releasing the shoe type within the collab to be Air Max 95's in different shades of green and yellows, with the face value price being £169.95. Following with the caption "MARCH. 2023." and the fans were quite disappointed by the shoe design, with some comments that read "Got a Nike shoe and can't even release a decent colour way", "I like Corteiz but what's da shit", "You were all gassed for THAT", and "I ain't even gon try cop them". However, we doubt this even bothered Clint in the slightest as it's going to sell out regardless.
Since the shoe was shown, the brand hadn't released anything else since up until four days ago when they uploaded a video stating all you had to do to win a pair of the trainers was to simply hit the crossbar of the football goal, putting on an event for Saturday 25th February. The caption stated the simple rules the fans needed to know to be able to participate, reading:
CRTZ AIRMAX 95' CROSSBAR CHALLENGE
SATURDAY IN LUNDUN GB
- HIT THE CROSSBAR FROM OUTSIDE THE 18 YARD BOX TO WIN A PAIR OF THE UNRELEASED CRTZ AIRMAX 95'S.
- FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE

- TWO CHANCES TO HIT THE CROSSBAR

RULESTHEWORLD.
In comparison to the last post getting a lot of negative comments, this post was quite positive as now the fans had a chance to win something for free, some of which reading "How you one up yourself every time is beyond me", "the boy ain't stopping", and "CRTZ really rules the world".
As Saturday came around, our socials were flooded with fans that had gone to the event, sharing their videos around online, showing their skills and the trainers they had won. We reached out to speak with @lironabs on Instagram, a winner of not only the pair of trainers but was also handed a thousand pounds, he told us that he was number 61 in the line, he "was waiting around an hour and a half" before he took his shot. He told us that when someone was successful in hitting the crossbar, everyone was "so gassed". Also stating that he simply stepped up to take his shot and "hit it first try" and that "it was so crazy", with the moment being unreal and something he "could only dream of". We'd like to give him a quick shout out for speaking with us about his experience and we hope to see him shine all year round!
We also spoke again with Marc (@mdsznn) over on Instagram to ask him about what his opinions were on the collab, if he believes they could have done more or if what they've done was perfect. His reply read "I think the Nike collab is being executed in a great way from a marketing perspective. The exposure it’s giving to both brands is exactly what every collab dreams of achieving. The actual clothing pays homage to Clint’s younger self which is dope as well as catering towards what usual Nike customers would expect. They didn’t overdo it with any of the pieces. However, this does also make the collection pretty basic in my opinion. Basic but fit for purpose", shout out Marc too and be sure to check out his recent stuff with @y2clubclothing over on Instagram.
Be sure to stick around and see what else CRTZ get up to this year, comment below what sort of brands you would like to see them collaborate with next.
