SCOOP RECOGNITION COLLAB OF THE YEAR

I know what you may be thinking, and if you had told me that my collab of the year would have gone in this direction, I would have said it was madness too, but if you sit back and listen to the song, it's very deserved.

A1 x J1 are a very talented duo that needs a lot more recognition than they currently receive, and you know we love a bit of Aitch, the two thrown together have created a very beautiful rap track. The lyrics, the beat, the video, it's all perfect. We can confidently say this is their best track! 

We love the way A1 describes his block and his friends through experiences they've seen, for example, when he says "the mandem fighting demons, the block gets scary" in the chorus, showing us he has really seen some shit growing up, as he fights off the demons in his head. This is just one of the many lines in this track that need a deeper look into. It hits hard when you actually listen to him, "You don't wanna lose your life, by the youngest G with the largest knife", shows that it could be the youngest guy on the block in a bad place in his life and he'll still do something he regrets, you don't want to lose your life to him.

As for J1, it speaks for itself, he's been mastering his craft for a while now, his wordplay, and his approach to this track is incredible and he manages to do it with such swag. A quick in-and-out verse with a perfect clean visual, what more can you ask of him?s

Finally, as an avid listener of Aitch, anything he touches is too clean, the way he just appears on the video out of nowhere, his bars starting and ending, too easy. However, I think this track could have done the same numbers without him, but was definitely a great addition to this track.
