Now it's only right we kick start our scoopmas recognition series with our favourite freestyle of the year, of which has to be given to ArrDee for his performance on 101Barz back in February. This freestyle has been in our very frequent rotation and shows ArrDee working very effortlessly, showing that he's very self-aware and loves to show how hard he's been working, which he is definitely allowed to do, the work rate and numbers shown over the last few years allow these points to be valid.

The freestyle has two very different beats and flows, one showing a more jumpy classic ArrDee beat, with the second being a bit slower, allowing him to come with a deeper set of lyrics, opening up to his followers as always. It's actually quite hard to pick a favourite verse from the rapper, however, when it's down to every single bar, it has to be the first verse. He lets you know exactly who he was, who he is, and why he was able to get there. Showing why people keep booking him, working with him, and sharing his projects, no matter the field.

We love the fact he talks on his achievements because he deserves to do so, whilst also being able to talk about why he should not be the classic role model for kids watching him, as he describes his upbringing, his mum being a single parent with no help. We're getting real this music life chose him, he didn't choose the music life vibes as he explains he was thrown into the "sex, drugs, and buff models", and the fact that being the top dog and man in charge is not easy. We love hearing the fact he knows people will book him and the radio love him and the fact he shows off the fact he had a mortgage at eighteen and the drama that followed it.

Finally, he lets all of the haters know he's the guy and he does not care what people think of him, talking on the hate he got when he jumped on the scene, people asking "why him" in the comments, and as of right now you are able to see exactly why it was him and why he was able to succeed globally in such a short amount of space and time.

Now, we know what some of you may be thinking, "Where's the Daily Duppy freestyles?", and we hear you, there are some quality freestyles out there that we've heard this year and some underrated ones we may not have even heard. But this one really stands out for us, for a rapper from Brighton to be overseas on a platform that isn't UK based, but infact from the Netherlands, it really is incredible to see. It's also so cool to see the comments under the video in Dutch showing ArrDee crazy love. There's only a handful of rappers that can do that.

We absolutely love this freestyle. Let us know what your favourite is in the comments below. Shout out ArrDee, and of course 101Barz for bringing UK talent over to the Netherlands.
