If you're been online at all in the last year, you'll find it very hard to escape star Grace Keeling, better known online as GKBarry. Everything Grace touches turns into gold, whether that be a television show, podcast, red carpet interviews, or even just Instagram stories and TikToks.
Let's just throw it back to the beginning of the year quickly, and take a look at exactly where GKBarry was. Throughout the first few months, we saw her on red carpet after red carpet, show face at the BRITS with her manager Hannah Rose Holland, and start her first of many UK tour shows. Her timeline then follows with a heavy advert for Google, a feature on Channel 4, and works with Gymshark.
Grace then became the latest women's ambassador for Footasylum, releasing the news as she posed in front of her first-ever billboard. Followed by another advert for Google, and an announcement for her very own YouTube series in April of this year. A series in which she takes on a collection of challenges, for example, 'I became an Olympic Gymnast', and 'I became a Blind Footballer'.
The series since the announcement consists of four videos, with the most viewed episode being over one hundred thousand views, it looks like the series may have come to an end, which is understandable due to all of the other ventures she's got going on at the moment. GK then found herself on a series of television shows, The Wheel, CelebAbility, and The Weakest Link, followed by another bunch of adverts, for brands like Bumble, and Maybelline.
During this time, GK also became the face of Revamp magazine back in June, becoming her first front cover photoshoot shot by Owen James Vincent. She then became the face of PWR magazine as they previewed a written interview in the magazine to talk about her breakthrough. She then went on to do something nobody was expecting, a collaboration with KFC as she featured her own "Barryaki burger" as the burger featured in-store and online from July to September. For someone on this scale to get a collab with such a big fast-food brand only a few years into her career is mental.
In October we saw Grace in a video advert of her breaking into a Pretty Little Thing store and spraypainting her name across the front of the shop, announcing that she was the latest ambassador for the fashion brand. Just a few days later, she shared she was going to be a part of this year's Stand Up To Cancer campaign, being involved in 'Don't Look Down' as she features with nine other celebrities with the fear of heights to be able to raise money for the cause.
Grace then ends her year with another announcement, previewing a clip for her latest tour announcement, showing that she will be visiting a number of different cities around the UK during February of next year.
We've made Grace our influencer of the year, purely because nobody is doing it like Grace right now or even in recent years, to do what she's achieved in just this year alone is incredible to be able to witness. We cannot wait to watch her talents get recognition even more over the next twelve months.
