5. Shake It - NLE Choppa ft. Russ Millions
Russ on any track is infectious and you just have to smile along with what this guy is doing. The beat just makes you want to get up from your chair and dance, you cannot deny that this collab was very much needed. The way NLE is trying to get with the London slang is admirable and refreshing to see these two come together for this track.
4. J'Adore - Strandz
For this to be Strandz's second viral hit, it deserves to be in our list. The fact that he has achieved everything he has done this year off of the back of two tracks is incredible. When you actually listen to this track, it's so refreshing to hear how committed he is to his girlfriend, of whom features in the track with the female vocals. We normally just see rappers talking about different sexual activities with women so this was great to see.
3. Round 2 - Aitch
Aitch is back this month to show people around his area of Manchester as he rides around on his pushbike telling everyone he's still hot no matter how many years he's been doing music, letting everyone know he's still getting money and is still up. This track really makes us want to work harder and motivates us to keep working. Therefore, it has to be a part of the list.
2. Survivor - Morrison
We love it when Morrison releases a track, very real rap which is something hard to find these days in rap. The track has visuals like many rap videos, expensive cars, girls and jewelry but the words he's rapping need to be taken seriously. Morrison is telling us about why he is where he is today and that his family do not need to worry about him as he really is a gangster. Sharing that his mum is more gangster than most so she deserves expensive purses and luxury. We pray that Morrison is here to stay this year as he is known to disappear and drop another track in months time.
1. Painkiller - Jordan McCann
This track and the music video for this might be one of the most beautiful things we've seen from Jordan. The track tells a story of someone in a toxic relationship through a woman's perspective as she turns to drugs and slips into a bad way as it flicks through the past to present day as the woman has past traumas. The fact that a male rapper has chosen to speak about something so heartfelt along with a video to help people visualise what can really happen is powerful. Deserves more recognition.
