David Orobosa Omoregie is better known as Dave and some may say he's London's G.O.A.T due to his wordplay, flows, raw emotions, and all-around swagger. Dave has been musical from the age of 11, teaching himself piano as well as rapping and releasing music since 2015. SCOOP had a look at his discography, picking out our favourite five Dave tracks in order. Be sure to tell us your favourites in the comments below.

5. JKYL+HYD

Coming in at number five, we have JKYL+HYD, a single that was released in 2016, one of Dave's first releases as an independent artist. We love this song as he shows real raw emotions that could have been risky as a first release, for example, most rappers that come out of London try and get hype and energy off of their first songs, however, Dave just came in telling us how it really is. Naming the track after Stevenson's 'Strangle case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde', a book famously known for a character with a split mind. This also showed how Dave could have been feeling at the time as the track opens with "This is a tale of two men, this is Jekyll and Hyde, Have you ever had a war with your mind? It's like I'm two men". This also lets us see that he could be in two minds about being on road or being a music artist, not knowing what to do at a young age. We hear him talk about both of these two sides as he talks about life inside and outside of his area, on one hand, he's saying things like "How a judge can give a life and take a life, I nearly died that night, it's crazy right? That's why you don't get involved when they play with knives", "Started thinking way beyond my age when I hit 17, I had the smile of a child but a mind like I'm 23, I mean 35, I lived a dirty life" and, "Man are still beefing over endz, We don't own this land and we don't even like this weather. Man are still beefing over money and you're all broke, outside your endz there's a life that's better". Compared to the life he lived musically at the time, trying to make it out of his estate when he says lines like "Man they wanna hear your story, this trap ting bores me, And word to Jamal my time soon comes shortly" and "I'm tryna' make music my whole life, I can't do it on my own fam I won't lie". This track is beautiful as you can see since the track was released, how much he's progressed in music, just like he wanted, so for us, it's only right it makes the list.

4. We're All Alone

This track is the first you hear on his latest album 'We're All Alone In This Together" and so it should be. The track is a great comparison to his earlier music as you can see that he's out of his area, possibly at his career peak and still feeling lonely, however, still flexing all over us when we're listening. At the beginning of the track, you hear about his childhood, letting everyone know he's a "Child of an immigrant", and telling everyone who hadn't listened to him before, where he comes from. Going on to talk about being rich, asking what the point is and letting us know what it feels like because the people around him aren't as up as he is when he says "What's the point in bein' rich when your family ain't? It's like flyin' first class on a crashin' plane". Going from talking about being lonely to let us know what colour his car seats are when he raps "You know the seats in the Aston red leather". In the second verse, we were told that one of his fans messaged him for help as they were feeling low, however, Dave didn't feel that he was powerful enough to help in the situation so he told them to get some sessions in lines "I got a message from a kid on Sunday mornin'. Said he don't know what to do and that he's thinkin' of killin' himself. Me and him got more in common than he thinks but I tell him to see a shrink so I can go on and live with myself". However, later on in the track he says "I tell my fans we're all alone in this together. You can trust me, all he shit that you been feelin', you're feelin' with me" followed by another message from his fan "I got a message from a kid on Monday mornin' said he's grateful I responded and he's feelin' at peace with himself. Me and him got more in common than he things but I tell him it's nothin' big so I can go on and live with myself". Hearing Dave talk about being there for his fans like that, in all of those different situations is a rare thing for artists to open up about, and for that, we have huge respect for Dave, so it's only right this comes in fourth.

3. Samantha

The nostalgia value of this song alone is crazy! When writing out our list we knew this had to be somewhere, purely for the memories and history the song had behind it. Releasing in January 2017, in such a peak of UK rap music, doing numbers online to this day, we don't think it's possible for Dave and J Hus to collaborate again and top this track, argue amongst yourselves, but we just don't think it's possible. The bars in the track aren't anything huge that we hadn't seen Dave do before but the chorus is catchy and repetitive so we physically cannot forget what he's saying as for J Hus, he just does it effortlessly, you can hear it in his voice that he's not even trying too hard, very relaxed and laid back. An easy placement for us to pick.

2. How I Met My Ex

This seven-minute track is a beautiful story written from a man's point of view in a relationship. It shows the way Dave's working and fitting a relationship into his life while trying to make it in music, starting from when he first saw her to the end of the relationship when the girl had moved on with another rapper. He let us know a few times that she had him feeling giddy as he said things like "Man, I was so excited that I replied a minute later, that's "Bro I think that you just let her know" excited", "Ignorin' everyone else, to her I'm replying quick" and, "she got my typing, deleting my messages and re-writing, in a hope that there's a smile when she's replying". We also saw Dave talk about his rapper status throughout as at the beginning he says "I'm a self-centered rapper too concerned about my image, the truth". The structure in this track is so important as we can see it in a timeline, by the end you hear Dave in a bit of a situation as he's being offered a lot of things by a lot of different women but he's just trying to stay loyal until he sees his girlfriend with another rapper as he says "Until I saw her in some rapper's tracksuit, I felt a way, She told me it was working and she was in some studio, takin' pictures and I just sighed, some half-way wannabe rappers had fed her lies, they ain't lookin' for a picture, I know it's your profession but read their intentions, they ain't payin' male photographers to do that same session", showing he really cares for her and just wants what's best, but at the same time doesn't want to tell her as he doesn't want to stand on her dreams. The song ends with Dave doubting himself, letting us know he felt he should of and could have done more for the girl in helping her with her dreams, letting go of the girl as he feels he isn't good enough for her anymore. The heartfelt words and pure emotion he shows throughout are really important and his messages should be shared throughout the scene to empower women and help them just as much as men.

1. Psycho

The realness of this song alone makes it number one in our eyes, it's easily his number one real rap, heartfelt track, which is what we love about the rap scene. However, he still manages to flex on us through wordplay whilst still talking about his insecurities, wanting his mother's respect, and his relationship with his family. Some bars are something that some fans defiantly need to hear, for example, "If you're thinking 'bout doing it, suicide doesn't stop the pain, you're only moving it, lives that you're ruining, thoughts of a world without you in it, hiding, I ain't psycho but my life is". But again, thorough his career we still hear about his struggles with spilt personality which shows us he can still talk about the roads because it was a huge part of his life but then switch it up and talk about his success, money, and supercar collections. In our opinion, this Dave track cannot be topped but we'd love to know your thoughts on our list.
