Should KSI have been disqualified? Our 007 Misfits Boxing Review

On Saturday evening we saw some incredible fights on this DAZN X Misfits Boxing 007 card, containing six main fights, starting with the first fight. Little Bellsy VS Lil Kymchi was the first fight on the main card, the two went head to head with Little Bellsy coming out on top. The Australian took home the win, telling DAZN that the beef between the two has now been squashed and that she will happily fight Astrid Wett next, stating that "she won't be able to handle the smoke".

The second fight of the night was Viruzz X DKMoney, a very entertaining fight throughout, during the fight, DK had managed to knock down Viruzz, however he had gotten back up. Coming back with more power to show everyone that he wasn't messing about, Viruzz then knocked down DK and he wasn't able to get back up, as Viruzz then took the win. In the after match interview, he had told DAZN that next he just wants to see his loved ones and then can think about his next fight but for now, he has no idea who he wants to take down next. The YouTube comments to this clip were filled with love for both of the fighters, some reading "That comeback tho was insane fair play and well deserved brother", "personally I think this is the underrated fight of the day. The comeback was awesome", and "one of the best KO's in YouTube boxing 2nd to Salt Papi KO against Josh".

Next up we saw the highly anticipated fight between Paigey Cakey and Tennessee Thresh, as they were able to squashed their beef, with the winner of the fight being Paigey Cakey. The pair had a good fight with each other, and you could tell that they had both been hungry for the title, even if Tennessee did look very unbothered in all of her interviews and clips pre-fight. A lot of the comments were saying that Tennessee was robbed of a win, meaning that they believed Paigey Cakey should not have won that fight. Some of the comments stating this had read "Ten got robbed", "robbery and a half", and "robbed fs even paigey looked shocked when she won". When Cakey was interviewed by DAZN after the fight, she said that she had underestimated Tennessee in her fighting ability, labeling the fight as "Quite tough". Going on to say that she will definitely be back in the ring soon, stating that anyone that wants to fight her needs to "line up now". The comments to this video were very happy for her, comparing to the comments over on Instagram, one of the comments reading "I knew she’d win, East LDN’s finest".

As we go on to the three final fights, we saw Salt Papi loose his winning streak as he fought Anthony Taylor. In the post interview he had said that nobody wanted him to win against Salt Papi but he did it and now he needs to be respected. He had also said that Salt Papi was fast and powerful in the ring as the fans screamed for Salt to win, going on to say that "this guy can fight man, be careful man, this guy will knock you out". When Salt Papi was then spoken to, he had said that he felt the card scores were correct as he felt he had only won the first round, with the rest going to Taylor. Moving on to the second to last fight of the night, Deji VS Swarmz. These two fighters had both won a fight previous to this night, and had a lot that they wanted to show their fans. Deji then took home the win, however during Swarmz's post fight interview, the video, lighting, and sound was cut off as the arena went silent, lights started to sprinkle around the arena as a mariachi band began. Two seconds in to this, the crowd went crazy as they knew what was about to happen, we've seen this before as Pineda rose from the darkness, calling out Swarmz for a fight, however, before they had gotten the chance, Swarmz had left the stage and didn't seem to return. The comments at the time felt bad for Swarmz as he was cut off and didn't seem to look like he knew what was going on, however, they are now buzzing for this fight as Swarmz took to Instagram on Sunday and had said "I heard pienada Called me out too u know i dont back down from a challenge? How you calling me out straight after a fight if you want smoke im down". What are you thinking about this pairing?

Finally, we go onto the main fight of the event, KSI VS Joe Fournier. This fight had circled a whole lot of upset and questioning, due to the fact that KSI had won, however had hit Fournier with his elbow on the way down. This had sparked a lot of controversy online as some believe that he shout have been disqualified with others saying that he clearly didn't mean to hit him like that as some angles show that he went to hit him normally but as Joe had fallen, his arm had hit him. We believe that KSI would have won regardless and do not see why the controversy is building like it is but we are open to educate ourselves on why this isn't liked.
