You know it was only right for us to catch up with Split for our second day of SCOOPMAS to talk about everything they've achieved this year. Touching on goals for next year and a message to the supporters of the quality brand. Have a read, share it around, and save your pennies for the next drop, see you there!

Hey man, please can you re-introduce yourself for anyone that missed our last chat?

Of course, I'm joe, 20, and I'm the owner of Split. I grew up in North Manchester and I started Split at the very end of 2022. I've always loved fashion and it was a massive part of my life growing up, and it's something I've always wanted to invest my time and money into creating.

What position was Split in at the beginning of this year?

I'd just dropped my first collection, made a few sales but nothing too major. Mainly sold to mates and family, at this point I was trying to solidify an identity for the brand and the direction I wanted to take it in.

Would you say that you were where you want the brand to be right now in the coming drops?

Yeah, definitely. The pieces we've got dropping are some of our best yet, we went through three or four smaples of the jackets, making sure everything was spot on. Some of the bits we've got lined up in the future are nuts too, proper game changers.

What do you think of the previous drops from the start of the year, when looking back on them now?

I'll never release anything I'm not 100% happy with, we've got items we've purchased that just haven't made the cut and we'll never drop them. Some of our previous drops did way better than expected and others didn't do as well, it's all about staying motivated throughout the lulls and pulling through with something bigger and better each time.

As a brand and a business, did you have any goals set for yourself at the beginning of the year? If so, what were they?

I had a few when I first started, I always wanted to see someone I didn't know wear Split, which I haven't done yet. I've had mates see people wearing Split, but I reackon that'll happen soon. I wanted to completely sell out of an item, which we've done a few times now. I also wanted to get my first office which should be done by December.

That's so sick! Did you hit any milestones that you didn't think you could achieve this year?

I didn't think we'd have as many followers as we do, I definitely didn't think I'd see someone wearing Split on the TV either, which was a mad experience.

How did that make you feel?

Buzzing, it's great seeing the time and everyone involved in Split puts in working.

For sure! What does 2024 currently look like for you?

Summer is going to be mental. Hopefully going to do a couple of pop ups and just try and get the brand out there more. We've got some new pieces lined up that are completely different to what we've done before so I can't wait to see how things turn out.

Any major goals you're going to set yourself?

15k followers is the goal for instagram, we'd love to completely sell out a whole drop, and do a charity event, maybe ten quid tees or something like that.

A clean hearted gesture man, we love to see it! Could we see any collabs in the coming months? Would that be something you're interested in?

Definitely, would love to collab with an artist or another up and coming brand, just mixing two styles together and see how it turns out, it's definitely something I'd love to do in the future.

I cannot wait to see how the year plans out for you! Finally, do you have anything you would like to say to the people supporting and buying Split clothing?

Of course, I just want to say thank you to anyone that's ordered or shown love to the brand since we first started, it means a lot.

For real. Thank you Joe, appreciate you every time!
