Back in November, we spoke to Marc, 22, an Instagram fashionista to talk all things fashion, latest trends and his perfect fits. A big thank you to Marc for his time and fashion tips, be sure to check him out on social media under @mdsznn and stay tuned for his next fire outfits.

Do you have any favourite brands, what makes you love them so much?

"I like Billionaire boys club, Octobers very own, and Bape. The Pharrell influence on BBC and Bape is so iconic and a staple in the street-wear scene. The quality of their garments is always top-tier. The same can be said for OVO, all of their designs are clean but different from the rest. They make really good standout pieces. I also love Zara for simple quality pieces that fit well into creating an outfit, very versatile pieces in many different ways".

100% couldn't agree more!! When dressing, how do you pair an outfit together?

"Usually, I just look for one item I want to wear that day, whether that be a specific pair of trainers, hoodie, or jacket. Then from there, I look for items to complement that item and then build the outfit piece by piece until I have something I'm happy with".

Have you got any favourite specific items of clothing or accessories that you own?

"I'm a proper sneaker-head so pretty much all my trainers but in particular my grail is my Jordan 11 Gamma blues, I wanted a pair since I was little because my older brother had a pair and I thought they were the coolest thing ever. I have a dope green Billionaire Boys Club varsity. I love my grey camo Bape hoodie which glows in the dark. I have a dope pair of grey flared joggers from Kortsiide which are just so cool and different but also chill, most of all they're all comfy".

If someone was to collect clothes, where in your opinion, would be best to start collecting?

"I recommend identifying your preferred style or styles for starters. It is easy to get pulled in multiple directions due to trends, but trends never last. Hence it is better to buy clothes in a style that is your favourite consistently and work trendy items into a solid base, this also helps you to build a personal style you stick to and is uniquely you. A great place to start is always the basics, everyone needs a well-fit good quality plain white t-shirt. Jackets, hoodies, and bottoms in grey, black, navy, khaki, and neutrals such as brown and beige. These colours are all complimentary and mix well. Meaning you can have limited items but many combinations. This also gives you a great base to go out and purchase more refined items to a specific style and still be able to wear them with the wardrobe you currently have. Overall the main points are always quality, how durable the materials are, how the material ages and the fit, does it fit your body and compliment your figure or produces the desired fit on your body well. In many cases, a visit to a local tailor can transform an item into an amazing piece".

I'm sure that will help someone that's looking to get into fashion, let's touch on a few UK brands, what's your opinion on Corteiz?

"Corteiz is cool, I think Clint is a genius for how he's marketed his brand. He created the whole password and limited drop trend that most UK brands have now adopted. He had some dope pieces too but the brand no longer has that rarity that makes an item feel special to wear. For me at least. It's too accessible for my liking at this point. What he's been able to achieve in such a small time is immense and he deserves all the plaudits he gets".

Do you own anything from any of his drops?

"I currently have one of his t-shirts. I've had a pair of his black cargos which I later sold".

What do you think about people reselling their stuff for up to 5x original prices?

"The game's the game, I respect the hustle tbh. It should motivate ppl to find alternatives to the hyped stuff".

I completely agree, I'm so glad you said that, It's weird to see people hating on someone else's grind, moving on to Broken Planet Market, what's your opinion on what those guys and what they're doing?

"Again really respect their marketing and use of social media to create a community. Their designs started out unique but became repetitive. I don't see much growth or differentiation in their designs. However, I can understand that in business you don't need to change what sells and it clearly sells. But once again what they've been able to achieve in such a short period of time is dope".

It's amazing to see for sure. Do you want to talk about your collection and why you love shoes so much?

My collection is about 20-25 pairs of trainers atm. I've been building it since I was about 14/15 and my love for trains came from seeing my favourite artists wearing dope trainers in their music vids. I never knew what they were wearing so I'd go search for them, see the prices, and be humbled. But I'd always say one-day imma get them and then over the yrs I tried to collect them. Another big influence was my big brother who was also a sneaker-head and worked in a trainer shop for a while so he taught me a lot about the sneaker game and how to cop limited releases. I love trainers as a form of expression. A dope pair of trainers can really take a fit from 0 to 100 just on their own. I just like being able to pull out rare things and trainers are just another thing you can pull out and feel different.

I love that, do you have a top three favourite trainers of all time? Being pairs that you may or may not own.

I don't really have a top 3 tbh. Just the gamma blue 11's are my fav of all time.

Do you think trainers as a whole are overpriced or a fair price to pay for one singular pair?

I think retail trainers are reasonably priced considering the economic climate. Reselling is just pushing up the market price in some cases but this is to be expected.

100%, what's the worst shoe in your opinion, something you just simply couldn't see yourself wearing?

Jordan 1 mids. Hate those with a passion. They're literally knock offs of Jordan 1 highs. Terrible shoe.

What's your opinion on Yeezys, have you got a favourite, do you own any, what is the worst pair?

Not really a Yeezy person, I think they're cool but they're not my personal style, I like the 700s the most of all the silhouettes. The 350s are by far the worst.

I get that, I'm a big fan of the 700s, if someone said to you they wanted to start collecting but didn't know where to start, what would your advice be to them?

I'd recommend finding what types of silhouettes you like and enjoy wearing. Also to find trainers you find comfortable to wear. Then from there look for colourways you like.

When you put a fit together or buy a new pair of trainers, how does it make you feel?

I feel great, I just feel like the main character loool fly af.

As you should, have you seen any unreleased pieces that you feel you HAVE to get?

Not atm, I want the Jordan 5 Gortex collab that's about it. I tend to avoid looking at unreleased stuff because I'm a shopaholic. The way my wardrobe is set up now I'm pretty comfortable I just wait for things to speak to me that way I don't just end up buying unnecessary stuff.

Sounds Dope. That's a wrap!! It's been such a pleasure working with you on this, I really appreciate it, you've been great.

Thank you, appreciate being selected.
