During Aitch's debut album, Close To Home, we heard raw emotions on tracks such as "BelgraveRoad_1" and, "My G". As an audience, we heard Harrison talk on social media, about his family relationships and friendships. We heard lines like, "Die for my little sisters tomorrow" and "I'll go to jail for my broskis and I won't feel a way". This showed us the sort of hard-hitting relationships he really has with the people around him, going on to hear more of his relationship with sister Gracie in track fourteen, My G, as he rapped "you're my biggest blessin', what a life that I've been granted". Portraying the perfect bond between brother and sister, one of the few times we've heard Aitch really talk about his bonds so strongly, these people being his home.
We were also able to hear about recent relationships as he speaks on his ex in a bar "Stopped myself from posting, said I'm chilling for a sec, I told everyone I'm focused, said I need a little rest, But if I'm honest, I just ghosted 'cause I split up with my ex". Giving us an insight into what was happening previously in his life, as fans may not have known this was the reason for his break from social media, however, may have seen he was seen without his girlfriend for a while as their relationship was quite open on Aitch's Instagram stories.
We were also hearing about the rest of Aitch's life, as he's well known for spitting about girls and money throughout his career. So, of course, we heard lines "Skinny brudda, but I love me loads of cake" and, "My jewellery expensive, I spent me a cheque, Splash on my baby, we flew Santorini, Put packs in the Pussy and went on the jet". Just another load of casual flex's for Aitch.
Following his successes in 2022, Aitch went on to win a BRIT award in the Hip-Hop, Grime and Rap category, being the first award of the night, when on stage Harrison had said "I'm not gonna lie, I never get a bit scared, but I'm shitting myself, I thought I'd have time to have a couple more drinks before I came on here but obviously not." going on to talk about how people from his side of Manchester get opportunities like being a nomination for a BRIT award, let alone winning it. However, a lot of people watching at home weren't very happy with this outcome as fans believed that the other nominees had earned the award more than Aitch, voicing their opinions on Twitter, saying things like "how did aitch win over DAVE at the brits", "How the fuck is Aitch winning an award over Stormzy and Dave????" and, "How are the Brits giving Aitch hip-hop act of the year? Nominees were pretty bad anyway, but you either give it to Central Cee because of how big he has gotten, or you give it to Loyle Carner for making an incredible album". However, the problem Aitch had with all of these comments was the fact that all of the votes were from fans, as were all of the nominations, so Aitch let everyone know he was appreciative as he took to Twitter and Instagram, reading "Big up all my fans that voted we won a Brit together. Not many people where I'm from, especially my side of Manchester get the opportunity to receive such an amazing award. Thank you all, my fans are the best." also telling everyone that if they wanted to see the other artists win, they shout have simply voted for them.
